Qualifier Event for the Warren Jones International Youth Regatta

Previously a state qualifier for the Warren Jones Regatta, the Colin Mullins Youth Regatta was opened up to national and international teams in 2010. With a total of six countries represented in the 2010 events, this was considered to be a great success.

From the Colin Mullins Regatta, teams qualify to compete in the Warren Jones Regatta, primed and ready to take on the top 5 skippers ranked in the ISAF top 100 match racing rankings with the winner's entry fee for the Warren Jones Regatta covered by the Warren Jones Foundation.

The experience gained in the qualifier event gives lower ranked skippers confidence and experience in the Foundation 36 yachts in preparation to meet the higher ranked and more experienced match racing teams in the Warren Jones Regatta, increasing the level of competition.

Since 2010, the Colin Mullins Regatta has been held immediately prior to the Warren Jones Regatta and hosted alternately between the Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club in even years and the Royal Perth Yacht Club in odd years on board the Swan River Sailing's matched fleet of Foundation 36 yachts.
